I am looking for a guide to manually program and enter the parameters in Mach 4 instead of using the avid CNC template for the 4th rotary axis. There is one online for X, Y, Z, but I haven’t found any guidance for the 4th axis.

Any help is appreciated

Are you talking about setting up the rotary in Mach or creating g code?

I am looking to set up the 4th axis in mach 4, for instance mapping, soft limits, inputs and outputs, etc.

Is there a specific reason you don’t want to use the built in Avid settings? They are there to make all of this easy for you.

All my other axis I programmed them custom to have the ability to change the original parameters like acceleration as an example. That’s why I want to continue with that path
