# How to Swap Z axis on Router / Plasma Machine EX

I just did the EX upgrade on a dual use machine. The router profile is now working but when I go to the plasma profile the Z axis is still controlling my spindle axis instead of my torch axis. Does anyone know what setting to modify in the Acorn Wizard so that I don’t have to manually swap the Z cables? Thanks

Hey I just responded to your ticket as well… But for anyone else reading you do have to swap your cables over when you switch from routing to plasma on a dual use machine.

On dual use machines your plasma axis HAS to be plugged into the Z axis, and when you’re routing your spindle axis needs to be plugged into the Z port, and your plasma axis needs to be unplugged or moved to the A port
