I’ve looked through the available schematic downloads for the Plug-and-Play NEMA 34 PRO4848 machine (CNCRouterParts, purchased 8/1/2017) and it doesn’t appear to be available. Revision 17.4 does not match my machine. Anyone know if this early schematic is available?

If you haven’t already I’d contact support through our website. They may be able to dig it up for you if someone here doesn’t have a PDF around.

Thanks for the reply Eric. I reached out to support and they don’t have a schematic for this early model. Looks like I would need to upgrade and add a breakout board since this version doesn’t have the available IO for additions.

Who actually designed the board?

Was it CNC router parts or did they buy it?

Does anyone at least know the part number?

I think I have the same board.

I bought the system a couple of years ago.

He started with a PRO4848 and expanded it to a PRO4896

There appear to be half dozen or so I/O points (Phoenix connector) on the side of the card closest to the door.

I’m a retired EE/SW engineer so this shouldn’t be rocket science but I am scratching my head too.

Did you make any progress on the schematic or mapping?

Have you checked here: [Schematics - CNC Controller Technical Manual](https://www.avidcnc.com/support/instructions/electronics/pnp/manual/17.4/schematics/)

Hi Eric,

Yes, I have checked all of the posted documentation. It is older than that.

I have seen several videos that show the board.

The pictures of what I have is much different than what is shown in any of those manuals depict.

I will get some pictures of mine and a link to the video posted in a couple days.

It may help solve the mystery.

Eric as a follow up to my previous post, attached are the pictures of what I have in my control box.

The 3 pins shown here are 10, 11, 12 on port 2. To confirm I mapped them to Input #0-#2 Pull the + pin to 12V. I did it through 820 ohm resistor because I haven’t dug deep enough into the board to see what the current limiting resistors are. The pins are input only from what I can tell without further exploration

What is it that you’re trying to do here, troubleshoot it or modify it?

The board functions fine. I think the thread got started because Samarah was asking about a schematic. The board is pretty basic. Reverse engineering it to get the documentation would be easy but I don’t think it is necessary at least in my case. I’m adding a tool setter and eventually the ATC that I have laying around here.

Tool setter operates now and signals Mach 4. My issue was I didn’t have the right port selected. Just need to modify the software now to respond to the i/o port changes.

I’m sure there is code that I can pretty much just cut and paste from the net if I get lazy.

The 26-pin header on the 550 card functions as a **passthrough** , allowing for additional output pins to be accessed via a secondary breakout board. While pins 2 through 9 are currently dedicated to the drivers, pins 1, 14, 16, and 17 remain available on Port 1.

Going to look around to see if I have that particular BOB. Thanks for the clue on the 550.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
