Greetings all, I’m looking to free up some space in my shop so my CNC is up for sale. I bought it in April of 2019. Looking for $5k obo (but you have to move it – I’m located in Los Angeles).
It’s a 19.2 version with leg kit, Nema 23 electronics 3/8 shaft, 8" z-travel, 3hp spindle, auto-z edge finding plate, Avid universal dust shoe, Dedicated PC with Mach4, Omer composite nailer, collet set, etc.
This machine has never let me down. Today I cut a new control panel top for my MAME system from some 3/4" walnut ply with a Whiteside compression bit and it did the whole cut in under 10 minutes–here’s a clip from the cut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_cettQT1yo
Hi John, can you or maybe someone else expand on what some of the differences are from the currently sold version and the 19.2. I tried searching around on avid but didn’t find much but olde build instruction.
Hey James, I can’t be certain (since mine is the earlier version) but here is a link to the detailed assembly instructions (you can select the current version as well as the 19.2 from the dropdown) and I guess the images/diagrams/text differences would tell the story: https://www.avidcnc.com/support/instructions/pro/
In looking at the Pro sales page now, it looks like they have moved to a new control system (Centroid?) and the current “base” model pro uses a 4HP spindle whereas the 19.2 used a 3HP (what mine has).
I don’t think I see any other differences–but, as you stated, maybe someone else can chime in.
