Hello All. I’m running a simple profile cut on a piece of plywood (.1900 inch). I’m getting the error “Z Axis Work Envelope Exceeded”. I was able to run a similar profile the day before. Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? Sorry, can only put one graphics per post. Let me see if it will let me do 3 differecnt Posts, Its a bit difficult to tell, It looks like everything is good. In the below image IMG\_5389, I have my physical bit set on the work surface, The bit is 29,000th below the material surface which is -.1900 inches below the top of the surface per centroid “Current Position”. (IMG\_5387) Whats confusing, is IMG\_5383 shows the bit at below the material, IMG\_5386 shows the bit above the work surface. Maybe the perceived graphics height is just a visual perspective thing. ---

Well shame on me. Apparently Centroid coughs up the Z envelope error when you haven’t set your material larger than the path of the bit. In other words if you have a “bit or bob” your making, that is 4 inches, you use a 1/4 inch bit and you only set your material width to 4.25, Centroid does not like it. At least that “appeared” to be the solution. I’ll have to double check with another project. if anyone gets the same result let me know, I am very curious.
