John Aughenbaugh is a Technology Education teacher and CTE Department Chair who began a new PLTW Engineering program at New Kent High School in 2019-2020. He is certified in five of the Pathway to Engineering courses and currently serves as a Master Teacher of Introduction to Engineering & Design and of Computer Integrated Manufacturing. Originally from Pennsylvania, John earned his B.S.E. in Technology Education at Millersville University. He taught PLTW engineering courses at Warhill High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, from 2011 to 2019. He successfully expanded the technology and engineering courses and engaged students with local business and industry to increase STEM awareness. He continues this work bringing PLTW Engineering to New Kent High School. Recently, he joined the adjunct faculty at Old Dominion University as the Technology Education Content Instructor for the Career Switcher Program.
