Is there a way to create a point cloud without a probe? Such as move the CNC to the points you want and manually “trigger” the probe to create the point in the cloud talking single plane 2d only.
@Eric - So this is a longer video, but the part is in the middle of the table. I’m able to jog the stylus around the part without any problems and no limit issues. But on the probe when it does the second touch it will generate that error.

I just looked at the user manual and this should be 0.xxx definitely not 24.xxx.
But for some reason when I run the stylus calibration cycle this is what it produces.
Do you have NEMA23/34 Steppers or Servos on your machine?

I believe you need to convert your 24.998mm to inches when inputting your ring guage diameter.
Let me try that. I was assuming it would do the conversion for me since both the ring and the stylus are measured in mm.
I would also enter the stylus diameter in inches.
I have servos.
I converted to inches and that fixed it!

LOL…. According to NASA, the Mars landers were are designed primarily in the metric system so you will need to change your machine units to metric first.
Some sad yet humorous back story:
If you haven’t done this already, the Touch Probe Alignment on pg. 13-17 is necessary to cancel possible eccentricity of the collet and tool holder.
Yep! That part is all set, the only thing I was missing was the various probing cycles
For corner zero I’m now able to do a corner probe and set x-y with F8 followed by an F7 auto zero for the Z.
