What are you all working on! Come on now!

So, my 4yo grandson, Case, needed a bat for baseball……Pawpaw came through!!

Turned on the rotary and then lasered the name!!

And the roughing pass below!

I’ve been troubleshooting my computer on my own lately; the feeling of successfully getting the device to power up after teaching myself about both software and hardware is truly satisfying.

Story time! When I was a kid, I was the one constantly “borrowing” my dad’s tools and not putting them back, especially his hammer. When we built our house, one day my dad’s hammer was missing, and he “just assumed” my kids had “borrowed it” and not returned it (I’m a bad influence ;). Later that day, one of the contractors found his hammer - on top of the roof’s ridge beam. My dad had left it there himself, and he apologized to my kids.

When my dad passed and we were going through his stuff, we found the hammer again. My daughter has it now.

Just finished a year long project building furniture for our new church.

Trying to figure out why I’m so busy and where all my retirement time is going!

  • trying to keep up with 3 acres of property (and only 1/2 acre of landscaping)
  • getting ready to rebuild my utility trailer (new flooring, repainting the frame)
  • Building a new outfeed table for the tablesaw (that doubles as systainer storage and an MFT style cutting board for large sheets)
  • adding a new spoil board to the Avid including a vertical clamping surface (already moved the framing members so it could be on the end of the machine and save what’s left of my back)
  • coming up with the nasty grunt work for my son so he’ll be motivated to get a job and move out(again)
  • pondering a custom build of a HUGE RatRig v4 printer with Bondtech INDX system for multi-color printing
  • finalizing design of a 3D printed outlet filter housing for my dust collector
  • Finally getting around to building the 3 Stickley style dressers that I already have the lumber for.

Retirement you say?

Upgrading my PRO48X24 machine to the ATC system. Really looking forward to being able to design projects where I don’t feel the need to limit myself to only one tool.
