Eric, if the offer still stands I’d be game for trying it out. Manual tool changes.

You’re good to test, hit the link at the top of this thread

I was thinking of finally installing all the latest windows updates so this would be a good time to test it if you want more. 4x4 machine with manual tool changes and laser setup.

Thanks. I got it installed today after all new Windows 11 updates (now running the latest version 26H2). I’ll have more time to play with the new software over the next few days. I was running the older profile manager v1.12.0.0 and the profile was 5.24 so it had been a while since I did any updates since it was all working fine. I did already notice with the new profile that my offsets (G54, G55) got wiped out but that’s easy to redo. I was wondering if I will need to re-setup my laser and its offsets though or if the laser setup should still be good to go. Thanks..Rick

Ok Scratch my last comment / question. I did have to re-setup pretty much everything from the offsets, tool height setter and laser offsets. Not a big deal and it may be since I came from a much older version.

One question to the group though on something it’s doing. When doing a manual tool change, the gantry moves backwards and sometimes to the right or left before heading to the touch plate. This may be normal for this version but my previous version never went backwards. The tool setter speed has definitely increased with the initial Z drop going much faster than before. I am a little afraid to try it on a bit like a 1/16" EM. Hopefully the plate has enough give not to snap it at that rapid pace. Other than that everything worked in the shop today.

Eric,

Great visiting with you and Rusty last weekend!

I’ll throw my name in the hat to test.

Thanks,

Rich Miller
