What can I say? It just works!
I did a small engraving test on a 1.25" dowel with 3 bit changes and the ATC worked flawlessly.
I’ve never used the rotary other than a quick test when I first got the machine, so I kept my hand on the E-Stop just in case. It will be nice when the update comes out so you don’t have to search C drive and load the macro to recall the rotary.
I have the next two weeks off work to play with this thing, so life is really good right now!
So I haven’t used my rotary since I did the ATC upgrade and I’ve got it all running okay as well what’s this about having to go find a macro I don’t understand you can’t just go to set Heights go to Rotary recall calibration
There seems to be a bug in Centroid. When I hit the recall rotary button I got a message saying the file can’t be found. I discovered this when I tried to initially calibrate the rotary. I had to click load job, then go to the cncr folder/AvidMacros/rotarysetup on the C drive and load it like a gcode file to get it to execute. Once calibration was done I realized I need to do the same for recalling the rotary calibration. I have to go to the cncr folder and load recallrotary through the “load job” function.
Eric said it is a known issue and that a fix is coming soon.
Yep, we’re on this. There’s an update coming out this week that doesn’t address this, but very soon we’ll have a bigger update that addresses it. For now loading that file is a totally acceptable workaround
