Avid External Relay Box

I am trying to add a G-Code command to start my dust collector using the Avid external relay box. I have used both M7 and M8 commands, but neither activate the relay associated with the DC. I can start the DC using the GUI Relay 1 icon on the screen display, but only prior to starting the job. I have the EX controller using CNC12. Any help would be appreciated.

If you just want it to start and stop with a job you can set that in the wizard under accessories. You don’t have to mess with M codes

Thanks Eric. I am aware of that option, but I am looking for more specific control dependent on the cutting operation. What G-Code commands should I be using inside a Gcode file?
