Hello all,
I wish to use a custom screen (mach 4) while still using the Avid cnc profile. Is it as simple as copy/pasting the script (avid touch plate script) to my new button, or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!

What do you mean be “AVID Profile”? It sounds like you just want to use a different screenset, but retain the AVID touch routine?
Yes, exactly what I was refering to. I believe I actually got the screenset from yourself or corbin a while back.
But yes, just want a different screenset but hoping to still use my avid touch plate routine.
It’s not allowing me to simply export it and move it where I wish or copy and paste the script without throwing LUA errors.
Wasn’t sure if there was a folder I needed to move as well or what.
Thanks
It must have been Corbin’s because mine were all based on the AVID ones so they supported the AVID touchplate routine.
To add that routine, you’ll have to go into the screen file and udate it so that it can find and load the touchplate module
Then you’ll need the add the button, (you can export it from the AVID screen and import it to the new one).
If this is @corbin 's he might help you, he’s a software expert and a great guy.

Thanks! This should help me enough to get it now. I appreciate your help and your youtube videos as well!
yeah! I didn’t modify Avid’s touch plate code, since it was pre-compiled. You’ll probably have to copy the entire AvidCNC folder to get it to work in another instance of Mach 4…or just start with Avid’s version as a base and copy the screen set.
