Best computer setup for Mach 4 — leaning toward Panel PC

Hey everyone! Just picked up a 4x8 at a great price and getting ready to set it up. I’ll be running Mach 4 until I upgrade to the ex-controller.
I’m leaning toward mounting an industrial Panel PC directly to the machine frame on a swing arm — one self-contained unit, no cart, built for the shop environment. I only own a Mac and iPad (planning to use Fusion 360 and Shapr3D for CAD/CAM), so the Panel PC would be my dedicated Windows CNC controller.
A few questions before I commit:

  1. Anyone running a Panel PC mounted to their Avid machine? How has it held up to vibration and dust?
  2. Good swing arm mount recommendations for the 4x8 frame?
  3. Any Mach 4 compatibility issues with industrial Panel PCs?
  4. Any gotchas I should know about?
