Well, I figured out how tight my belts should be. I was missing steps and homing was not working for me. It would say the motor was stuck trying to back off. I was flipping out.
I’m not sure the exact amount of tightness on the belt though. With motors disabled,I couldn’t push the gantry. Now I can.
I think I have a combination of issues that made circles a problem and hardware wearing to deal with issues. Although, this is the first time I have replaced belts. Why is the cam on the motor mount if using it with slight pressure on a wrench over tightens the belt? I moved the motor to give some slack and then used the cam to touch that position and tightened it. Then the motor bolts.
