CNC12 EX loss of ethernet communication

If you have tried two ethernet devices and they don’t play nice you could try swapping the computer to eliminate isolate that variable.

Every controller is connected and tested before it leaves our HQ

Is the stress test passing but you still have random comms errors? If that’s the case that points to something physically wrong (cabling, noise, etc) or a computer that is messing with the ethernet connection.

That won’t hurt, and may be worth trying, but I would swap the computer first if you can.

I’m not swapping computers again. at this point, its a pretty draconian step and its not like I have suitable machines just laying around. This one worked just fine with the CRP800.

Its not two Ethernet devices, just one, and again a port that worked fine with the CRP800.

I asked if you ran the Centroid CNC controller bench test, not if you tested the box. I’m sure you did. I only ask because the tech bulletin says it should be run … before I research the test and figure out what it takes to run it I’d just like to know if you did that as part of your test process

Haven’t run the stress test, as our reading was you use it to expose faults … faults we have …but based on you comments we will run it.

Again, I need an answer other than … replace the computer. We will proceed with Centroid’s TB270 and TB309 and report back here.

Hey Jim I just talked with our support team and they’d like to setup a time to do some troubleshooting. Please open a ticket using the “contact” link above.
