When it is up/out is it closed/connected?
The emergency stop system is a normally closed circuit and must be plugged in for the CNC controller to operate. It is recommended to keep it within easy reach during machine operation so it is quickly accessible if the machine needs to be emergency stopped.
Does Estop trigger if the switch is not plugged in?
Yes, when it is up the circuit is open. When it is down, the circuit is closed.

Sounds like you may have inadvertently reversed the input for the E Stop. Did you go into the advanced settings or open the PLC diagnostic and perhaps flip it the wrong way?

Figured it out. Alt i brings up the PLC diagnostic screen. Yes, the E Stop was reversed. That fixed it. Thanks.
