Ex / rotary setting default 0degree

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to store in the WCS settings the defualt zero of the rotary. Some of the things I make need to be aligned correctly and zeroed so the plane of the object is parallel to the bit. I have to do this each time I restore the offset as it just uses the default home position. Can I edit one of the 75x params to store the machine coordinate? Ie 750=58.6585 751=92.3291 is 752 the angular setting right now of -0.0735. But I need the angle to be -40.8603

That’s just the angle setting in the WCS table (under set part zeros) if you don’t reset it it will remain even if you power the machine off.

Just pick a WCS slot you want to keep reserved for your rotary, “restore” the rotary position to that WCS slot (by using the “recall calibrate”) then set your angle to whatever you want and you’re good to go.

If you want to do non rotary things just switch to a different WCS, when you’re ready to do rotary stuff go to set part zeros, WCS table and switch back to that WCS for your rotary.

Pro tip: you can name your WCS slots with a custom name by double clicking on them in the menu

Doh! Makes perfect sense, to simple of an answer. I jumped right into the macros…

No problem!
