10 year old AVID CRP2448 CNC. I bought this used 5 years ago.
I’m an electrical engineer and did all of the modifications myself.
Added a 3hp water cooled spindle with VFD. Rebuilt the Control system around a new ESS Smooth Stepper control board and Gecko G540 motion control board, with new power supply, breakers I’ve added a great Dust Collection boot, emergency stop buttons, and a Avid touch plate plus 4 AVID proximity sensors for homing.
It connects to your computer via an ethernet cable. I run it from Mach4 software (not included).
This a great starter CNC machine. I upgraded to a larger machine is why I’m selling it.
