Iâm getting the 9030 spindle fault too! Nema 34âs new vfd 4hp could a new vfd slipped by with out the settings being adjusted its a mitsubishi I double checked all the settings on the computer end and the wiring connections as well Reset has no affect.
Iâd get in touch with support to see whatâs going on
Settings was the issue in the vfd after all thank you avid support team
I put in a ticket over the weekend, but havenât heard back yet. So I thought I would see if anyone here had a drive fault still after following the above.
I have a CNC depot spindle, and followed the removal of the jumper. But I am getting a 3091 DRIVE FAULT, not a spindle fault.
IMHO, I wouldnât remove the jumper! Modifying the VFD is super easy.
Which one do you have?
Scroll down to the " VFD Updates " section in my directions and see if you also have a GS10.
Corbin
Thanks Corbin! I do indeed have the GS10. I will look into this, as I have not yet gotten my spindle to spin (new machine setup!). I will also be following your ATC setup when I get to that point, so thank you as well for that post!
I think my DRIVE FAULT issue is unrelated.
It shouldnât be related if you flipped the jumper position, but are you sure? they are all wired into the same error input, so your VFD has to be on and all the motors have to be connected. it could be a connection issue with one of the servo motors. Just trying to give yah some ideas!
I was not. and you were partially right. It was a VFD wiring issue as my new cable harness was not properly seated. But I followed you directions for the VFD mod and it works perfectly! Thanks @corbin!
Solved!
