Greetings all,

I just wanted to give a special shout out and much gratitude to @corbin for his work modifying the CNC12 software to work with our ATC setups! Without this, I wouldn’t have been able to get the EX upgrade until Avid finished their ATC option. His ATC is the Hiteco, mine is the CNCdepot S30C. I just ordered the EX so I’m not sure yet if I’ll need to make any tweaks yet, if so, then they’d be very minor.

I was using his feature rich Mach4 screenset up until now and had come to strictly rely on it. When I was notified that he made the switch, installed the upgrade, and modified the software, I immediately ordered the awesome EX upgrade.

Awesome, that’s great to hear! I’m sure you’ll like CNC12/Centroid - it is definitely more rock solid than Mach 4. The main UI is a little more simplistic, but it does all the basic stuff.

The API (Application Programming Interface) is more complex for Centroid, and allows one to build a traditional windows application using .NET, but doesn’t have a lot of the pre-defined UI bits that Mach 4 had, so I had to write a lot of stuff from scratch. But this is more powerful, and I can do more stuff with it. I am thinking about doing a new skin for the entire UI at some point!
