I’ve had my machine for a couplE of years and have never replaced the bearing blocks. I am starting to hear a squeak sound only when the x avid moves across the gantry. Do I need to just grease the blocks or replace them alltogether?
Start with the grease and see where that gets you
OK will do. Is there any need or reason to clean the linear rail as well?

I greased the bearing blocks and added some lubrication to the gear racks and the machine is much smoother and no squeak. Thanks

If there is globs of Greece on it I would it could fall in on your nice clean part

I grease and clean bearing blocks and ball screws every 40-60 hours of run time on every machine I own. It’s definitely better then prematurely replacing these parts.
