Super easy question

I haven’t used my machine in quite some time. At the end of the G-Code run, the spindle returns to the home X and Y positions and also returns to a very short Z-height. How do I set the Z-height at say, 3-inches? I don’t know if it is a Vectric Aspire setting or a Mach 4 setting. Any advice is appreciated.

That will be in Aspire/VCarve on your job setup, it’s on the right side near the bottom after your toolpaths

Thanks!

I change my g-code all the time, either to move the gantry out of the way, change the z height etc. The last couple l;ines are where you can easily lift the z height for a individual project. This is a sample g-code, at the end of it change where I stated

N6290G00X0.8415Y1.2157Z0.2000
N6300G00Z0.8000 ……………………………………………………………..Change this to z3.0
N6310G00X0.0000Y0.0000
N6320M09
N6330M30

This would be fine for Mach, however on EX controls they raise to the physical top of Z travel when the job is done, and you can set where it goes in XY if you want. No need to alter any G code or settings in CAM
