60120 lower height issue

I’m ordering my 60120, I’ve seen a few posts about people asking about lowering the height by cutting the legs, any follow-up on that? We were hoping to make our own legs with 6090 we have on hand (to save $), but it’s turning into too much of an issue making the connections work, so I’m just going to order the kit. I guess I can cut off the threaded end and either re-thread or buy leveling feet that attach to the sides.

We were hoping to end up in a 30-32” finished height range.

When you order your kit couldn’t you just tell them you want your legs a certain length instead of going through and cutting it yourself?
