When the spindle option says “Upgrade 8.7HP to AV70S (+$6295)” is that the AV70S Complete system with 10HP VFD or the Essential Upgrade that assumes you are reusing a VPD from a previous 8.7 system?

You have understood correctly, if you already have a spindle you just select “None” for spindle, and the price is for everything else you need.
I have a 3HP CNC Depot spindle. I want an AV70S and I need the VFD. The wording on the order page is not clear what is being purchased when selecting the “upgrade”
The reason it is not clear is the price. At $6295 for AV70S upgraded on the ATC page, it is not the same as the complete AV70S at $7295 or the AV70S Essential Upgrade at $5295 on the CNC Spindle Systems page . So is it the complete AV70S with a bundle discount with the ATC?
Ahh, I see why you might be confused:
Folks that currently have our 4 HP spindle can keep their VFD and go to the AV40 (it’s plug and play with that VFD)
Same goes for the upgrade from 8.7 to AV70.
We don’t currently have an option to get a complete spindle system (that includes the VFD) on there. I think that’s going up at the end of the day. You still can get reserved though, just contact support (link up top here) and they can quote you exactly what you need and get you squared away
No problem, I’ll contact support. You should still check the pricing on the AV70 upgrade as I think it is wrong - should be $5295.
Good catch. Just dug into that, the price is correct on our quotes and invoices but we had the wrong pricing up on the site. We’re fixing that now. If you’ve already contacted support you will get a quote for the correct price.
For anyone else reading this will be fixed shortly, but rest assured your quote/invoice will be accurate.
