I will be upgrading to CNC 12 soon. I see there is a spindle fault when the spindle is not powered on. How do you use the controller with tools that require the spindle to be off such as draw knife? Do you have to disable the alarm each time?
Spindle powered but the spindle speed set to 0. CNC will ask for confirmation of the 0 speed.

Eric: Thanks for the video link, I missed the spindle speed of 1. Curious if 0 will cause any conflicts.
Thanks
VCarve/Aspire won’t accept a 0, so yes ![]()
The spindle speed on my diamond drag bit is 0 in aspire and it works.
Thanks for the info!!
Diamond drag is different because a spindle start command is never issued. When you’re doing dragknife toolpaths you have to use an “end mill” tool in Aspire/VCarve and those have to have a minimum RPM of 1
Eric:
I can always count on you for the best answers. Thanks soo much.
