CNC12 with amd processors?

Hello

So my intel nuc is acting up….so I am looking to have a backup ready.

How well does Centroid work with Amd processors and windows 11?

I am looking at this one.

Lenovo ThinkCentre Micro Desktop, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD Drive, AMD Processor & Graphics, Dual-Display Support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, RJ-45, Windows 11 Pro, Business-Grade, Home-Friendly

Tnx!

Check against this list here:

Well isn’t that a coincidence. My Intel NUC is giving me grief as well. No bootable disk. And this happened a year ago.

what about the preconfigured Centroid PC? Has anyone tried that one? I have a dedicated machine for CNC12, so getting gnome that is built for it seems like an OK idea.

They’re great. They come at a premium because someone else did the work for you. For an Avid you’ll still need to install our version of CNC 12 (very easy to do)

However, if you find a computer that meets the requirements it’s super easy to setup your own. NUCs are great, and any number of fanless mini PC’s also work great.

The control PC doesn’t need to be all that sophisticated to do this job:

Thanks Eric. I looked in more detail and it seems the centroid mini PC they sell is just a Beelink. I will get the Beelink with Windows already installed and load CNC12 and run the tuner. Should be up and running by Monday with the new PC!
