I have an Amana 45771 15° engraving bit which I plan on use for some fine detailed work on hardwood. It has a .005" flat tip. I downloaded the Amana tool database for Vectric and it’s suggested depth per pass is .1" which seems much too aggressive.
If anyone has used this bit or something similar, can you suggest an appropriate depth per pass.
