I’m a super noob to this so please bare with me. I bought a bit off Amazon and trying to build the tool database for it in my Ventric V carve. I’m not sure what to put in for the cutting parameters and the feeds on speeds for this little bit. I try to buy all White Side bits so I can download the info from their web site. If you can help please let me know. Thanks.
You will need to load it as an engraving tool since it has a tip width.
I would not shy away from buying tooling that does not have a data base with it, as feeds and speeds are a function of material, job, chip load and other factors. Trust me you will get a feel for it with experience. Cory (AVID staff) did a great youtube video on “feeds and speeds”. Feeds & Speeds with Cory - AVID CNC LIVE! (youtube.com)
You might start with:
Feed: 30
Speed: 18,000
and go from there.
thank you for the help. It has been a tuff road getting my feet wet with this CNC. I was really getting frustrated with it as the learning cure is so steep. I did even list it for sale but I watched more videos and made a few projects and going to keep it as it is very cool when a project comes out perfect.
