Avid control box (wired for 4th axis) and 5 NEMA 34 steppers, power cables, E-stop, and touch plate. Purchased in 2021 and low hours in a hobby shop. I had intended to reuse on a BTP for aluminum cutting but my current setup works fine for that and I don’t have the room for another rig. This was mounted on a 4848 but the cables should be long enough for a 4896. Perfect for upgrading from NEMA 23 or having a spare on hand. $1000, pick up in Chicago area, or will ship domestically at cost.
Also available, 4hp Hiteco spindle (no control box or cable) and Vista P4S pendant.
Should work fine although you should confirm what comes with the R&P assemblies (including mounting hardware and motor pulleys) from Avid. You’ll still need proximity sensors/cables, computer and Mach 4 license. The cables will be very long for 4824 but they coil up neatly.
Under the table coiled up, or attach a bracket to the extrusion to hold the loops behind the control box. On the larger machines Avid supplies a bracket for this purpose - not sure if one comes with the 4824 but easy enough to find one that works. Nice thing about the longer cables is if you expand your machine later, you don’t need new cables.
