Finally preparing to building a brush sander and do not want to go overboard with the weight.
Starting with an ac motor and later on switching to dc motor since I have a few ones laying around and are lighter.
Tnx!

Can you tell us a little more on your brush sander project? You will add a motor with a sanding brush next to the spindle?
Hello.
I will be adding a motor with belt reduction on the plasma z.
I have already done this with a pneumatic sander How to activate a solenoid at the start and end of machining - #8 by ROTM
A brush will be better for my use.no compressor starts and noise. Next is to use a dc motor with a speed controller where the brush is directly mounted on the motor. so hopefully no gear reduction is needed.
I have some 2hp and 3hp dc motor but I guess the 2hp will do.
