Does the laser need to be electrical wired in and mounted before I can deploy with the UTILS program?

The Laser is all wired in and mounted.

It will not deploy with the UTILS menu, looking for troubleshooting guidance.

Troubleshooting so far

  1. confirmed air pressure
  2. confirmed hose connections at the mount and the Aux box
  3. confirmed direction of flow on the adjusters towards the Aux Box
  4. adjusters are set per instructions (CW to stop, 1 full turn CCW)
  5. mount is being held in the retract position by air pressure
  6. when I arm the laser there is assist air flow and the laser arms
  7. When I run the UTILS “deploy laser” I hear a click but do movement

Did you select a laser in the Wizard?

Good hint and starting point:

Yes the laser was selected.

No the offset and height were not set.

Now it does deploy.

In my own defense all I was trying to do was deploy the laser so I could set and secure the cable and air hose slack when the laser mount was deployed.

Now, how do I get it to retract? Before I could use the esc key or load a new program.

This behavior is different on this new version, you can tool change to a different tool, or go to the laser menu in utils and pick “switch to previous tool”

I got OPTs laser dock mounted along with the remote box (love that feature). Jim N helped make sure I did not get the wiring wrong.
