Machine Acceleration settings in Vcarve

Is there a good rule of thumb for these acceleration settings or acceptable settings you’ve used? I’ve seen some posts where people don’t even bother messing with them and others set to xyz to 30-50 and angle of ? I’d like to get a better gauge of toolpath times since some of them are 10+ hours just for roughing!

Those acceleration settings are just for the estimated time in Vcarve for the job to complete, they have no effect on acceleration on the machine

This is what you want: https://youtu.be/Jpsw8E7ihVk

Thanks Eric!

If I load up a job and choose a preset like 3D Relief to cut a car model on the rotary where am I getting the best time estimate? For me personally knowing how long I have to babysit a job  in the garage often determines when I can “squeeze” it in.

There’s a time in the graph menu when g code is loaded

That’s just the running time…

Is that not what you’re looking for?

No I’m looking for the best estimated time in Vcarve or the AVID software. Was thinking Vcarve would be somewhat accurate.

Can you do a little more refining on in the V curve to get your times down that’s where it all starts the timer in EX is better than v carve
