Probe routine error setting up fourth axis

I just recently remade my machine profile since I moved over to a different laptop to run mu Avid pro 60x96 machine (EX controller)and the original profile wouldn’t recognize the rotary axis, no matter how many times I edited it. No serious problem, I just deleted the old profile and set up a new one. Seemed easy until I went to calibrate the rotary axis which went completely fine until the last probe of the axis center at the end. When it probes the headstock center from above, it reacts correctly, but when it goes to probe the front and back of the shaft, the z axis never lowered, so of course it was probing air. The first time I just thought it was my error, but I tried two more times and it did exactly the same thing, which was frustrating because I had to redo the whole calibration routine! This worked normally when I calibrated it on the old computer. What’s going on?

The default diameter for the chuck probing rod thing was set wrong in my install, I think this might be the same thing. It was set to something tiny so that step of probing failed. Change it to the correct diameter in the rotary tab of the profile settings.

I thought I checked this when setting up wizard, but perhaps I glossed over it too quickly! I’ll check it in the morning, Thanks!

That was indeed the problem! Thanks!
