Resonance on X axis EX system with CP servos

I finally got around to upgrading to Avid version of CNC12 to 5.24. Upon testing, the servo on the X axis screams and sometimes won’t stop when rapid travel + and - I have to E-Stop to turn the servo off. I checked all screws, they were all tight. Old Ham coupling good, about .40 gap with the spider. lubed the ball screw with good lithium grease, this helped a little. I slowed down the rapid to 350ipm from the default 400ipm and this almost stopped all the screaming from the ball screw. I should be able to have 600ipm rapids without issue. One thing I did try was to loosen the screws to the bearing block by the coupling, this stopped all resonating from the servo, tightened the screws back up and it was screaming again. Has anyone else had a similar issue with their CP servos?

Is this on a Benchtop pro or a Pro machine?

The software version has no bearing on servo performance..The servos have their own internal firmware and just take step and direction signals from the controller (and listen for position loss signals)

This is a BTP. Were any changes made to the max ipm or software acceleration?

I re-tuned the X axis servo, problem solved.

Thanks Eric!
