I have a new-to-me 2019 Pro 4824. I leveled, squared and trammed. I notice the there’s a gap at Z0 toward the front of the table but as I move up the Y axis the gap narrows. I put a level the the gantry and it is slightly off. Recommendations? TIA
Did you cut a fresh spoil board to be true to your spindle? If everything is trammed/level you need to cut a fresh surface on your spoil board so everything is true in relation to spindle/cutting surface.
Edit:
Sorry I misread your message, didn’t see the gantry wasnt true. I found the link on assembly instructions, your answer can be found here if nothing else.
Thanks for responding. I’m using the spoilboard that came with it. It’s 1" HDPE with rows of threaded inserts for clamping. I’d be nervous to resurface it. I’ll revisit the assembly instructions and probably do more tram testing on a bigger area
Great concise video! I’m subscribed! I’ll try your tips when I’m back in the shop. Mine’s a 4824 so no seams but things could’ve shifted during transport (100 miles strapped in the back of a pickup). I looked at pictures of it loaded up and, based on where the gantry was, it seems quite possible that the rails shifted. Thanks!!
