VCarving Inlays with Autodesk Fusion

Hi everyone! I wrote a plugin for Fusion to easily make VCarve Inlays – both on flat surfaces and curved surfaces! I’ve done a lot of tests and refined the process on my Avid CNC.

Here’s a YouTube video describing how to use it, and how to find the perfect inlay parameters to make them fit just right:

The plugin is free to download and try as long as you like:

If you find it useful, you can purchase a License for $5. The license literally does nothing…it just supports me for further development. Definitely try it out first!

Here’s a screen shot of an inlay and the corresponding plug (this took 5 minutes to make in Fusion, but i slowly walk through it in the video):

I’m happy to discuss feeds/speeds/bits and techniques specific to the Avid CNC!

This is awesome, Corbin. I do a lot of vcarve inlays into end grain, so I’m very much looking forward to trying this out. I watched the video, and its quite comprehensive. You have obviously put a lot of work into this. Thanks again.
