Avid CNC PRO4896 4’ x 8’ CNC Router / Plasma-Ready System – 8.7 HP Spindle – Dual Z
Selling my Avid CNC PRO4896 4’ x 8’ CNC system. This is a heavily optioned machine that was purchased new and has very low hours / very little actual use. This is not a basic Avid 4x8. It was ordered with the NEMA 34 control system, extended gantry, 8" ballscrew Z, additional 5th motor drive, second ballscrew Z setup, 8.7 HP spindle/VFD, proximity sensors and plasma equipment. The machine was originally purchased as a complete router/plasma system. The Hypertherm plasma cutter has been sold and is NOT included. The 4’ x 4’ Avid plasma water table and the machine’s plasma-related hardware are still included. I have also made some custom modifications/additions to the machine, including a UV laser setup and a 3D-printer print-head setup. These are custom additions rather than factory Avid accessories and are included with the machine as installed. Condition The machine has very low hours and has barely been used. It has spent the vast majority of its life assembled rather than being used in production. This was not a machine running every day in a commercial CNC shop. It is currently assembled, which gives a serious buyer the opportunity to inspect the machine before taking it apart. Important – Plasma Cutter NOT Included The original system included a Hypertherm Powermax45 XP. The Hypertherm plasma cutter/power supply has already been sold and is NOT included. The following plasma equipment IS still included: 4’ x 4’ Avid plasma water table A buyer who wants to use the machine for plasma cutting will need to supply their own compatible plasma cutter. Pickup / Removal Local pickup only. This is a full-size 4’ x 8’ CNC machine. Buyer is 100% responsible for: Disassembly Loading Transportation Any equipment, tools or manpower required for removal I am selling the machine assembled. I am not offering delivery or disassembly. Please plan accordingly and bring enough people and the appropriate vehicle/trailer to move it. Being assembled also means you are not buying an unknown pile of CNC parts—you can see what you’re purchasing before removal. Price $16,900 OBO This was a heavily upgraded Avid system, not a base-model PRO4896. The original complete package was over $20,000 before freight when purchased, and comparable Avid equipment costs considerably more today than it did when this system was originally ordered. I am open to reasonable offers, especially from someone prepared to handle disassembly and removal without wasting time. I am not interested in trades.
