Z axis work envelope exceeded

“Z axis work envelope exceeded” Error

Hello! Working on initial setup of my new Pro 4896 with servos. Its an upgrade from our old Mach2/3 with nema 23s. The new software is a BIG learning curve for me - I am struggling.

So to date I have set the z-height touch plate, zero’d the bed, and installed the bit using the MTC with everything appearing to work correctly. When I go to start the trimming tool path it shoots up to +12 inches and throws a “Z axis work envelope exceeded” error and stops.

I fear I set something up incorrect at the start. Let me know if I maybe missing some setup step?

Stupid me! I didnt select Set Z Zero.

That’s why “work envelope” and that “spoilboard dig-in” feature is in the wizard… to help prevent you from breaking tools and gouging up your spoilboard! :slight_smile:
