I’m trying to see if someone els had this issue with their spindle , and are able to help. out of no where recently my spindle started to leak air (started with small hissing) but now the hissing is a bit more , I’m a bit concerned if there is something wrong with the spindle. Let me know if anyone had similar issue and was able to fix it.
Is this an Avid smart spindle?
Check to make sure all of the air fittings are seated in well. You can turn off the air and re-check the push to connect fittings.
There is supposed to be some leakage, that’s actually intentional. It’s for case pressure. It keeps positive air pressure in the spindle so that debris stays out.
If all of your air fittings are good, and you’re not running higher pressure than normal and you think it’s still too much air take a video and contact support using the link up top
