Here are some torque spec’s for 80/20.

Rocky Mountain takes that from the 80/20 booklet. Don’t overlook the footnote under the last pic!

Avid uses metric 4080-UL (ultra lite) for legs, 4080 for everything else but gantry - none of which are specified but I presume the 4040 and 4080 are interchangeable for fastener torque purposes. But it also doesn’t specify 4040 (4080 equiv) or ultra lite + anchor fasteners OR roll-in t-nuts. So literally no combo we experience is published by the extrusion manuf.

The published note below the table hints at perhaps why neither company is overly specific.

That’s funny, the lowest my torque wrenches go is 20 ft-lbs. I am sure they make them smaller than that but they aren’t in my toolbox.

Hand tight will suffice.

AND I am willing to bet my last $1 that everyone who really cranked down will have over torqued by a fair amount.
