Clearpath and AV40S questions

Question for anyone who has assembled a Pro machine with clearpath servos. I am assembling mine, and it seems like there should be more clearance between the Z axis motor and the Z axis cable track. Mine is curently rubbing as shown below:

Whereas in the instruction manual it shows a photo with more clearance:

Is there a different Z-axis cable track bracket when you get the Clearpath servos? One with more offset?

My other question is about mounting the AV40S spindle. The instruction manual says I should use the CRP144-23 base adapter to mount the spindle to. What I received is the CRP144-33 base adapter plate. The hole patterns are different, and with the -33 plate the only holes that line up are the 4 6mm holes, not the 6 8mm holes shown in the manual, as shown below:

Did I just receive the wrong plate? I plan to call support tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anybody else got this plate with their AV40S.

I’m going to kick this one to our support team. I am not sure about that tramming plate…

As far as the motor goes you do have it mounted like it shows on the instructions. That cable track doesn’t move back there so it shouldn’t be an issue. You can also turn the motor 90 degrees if you want, on one of my test machine (one that was built before these were a product offering) I have it that way.

Can you show a picture from the other side, I’d like to see that cable track mounting bracket to see if it’s different.

My installation looks just like yours and there is no issue with the tight clearance.

Here is a picture of the other side with a tape measure for reference.

FWIW my setup looks just like rcdude’s

Mine as well. I even contacted support during my installation.

I ended up popping off some of the retainer clips to give the servo body more room to fit.

Mine looks the same way, a little inconvenient when routing cables but no issues during operation.

I think you could easily use longer screws and make a little standoff plate with two holes or even a couple stacks of washers to place in between the bracket and the Z-axis to get some more clearance.
