Discrepancy on x & y axis

I’ve noticed recently (maybe since an update) a discrepancy in the x & y axis which hadn’t bothered me too much as I was aware of it and could adjust dims to suit plus as long as everything was subject to the same issue i was ok with it.

This was ok as a short term glitch but is now bugging me, after doing a few tests today am getting -1mm on x axis and -2mm on y axis (overall on square exterior cut , 4mm deep into mdf with 1/8th end mill cutter)

Anyone experienced anything like this?

If it goes worse and worse, I would check the belts and pinions. If they are loose, then it’s probably time to change them.

Have to say that I don’t understand where the error is?
Are you cutting a rectangle and the actual measurements are in error?
What does the 4mm deep have to do with the error, or is the error a comparsion fof the top of the cut versus the bottom of the cut.
