Fixed touch plate not setup

I am just getting my EX with servos together. I wanted to surface the spoil board so that I could align the Z axis. I load my program, I manually set zeros. I punch go. I get an error Fixed touch plate not setup, set it up in the utilities. I look at the utilities menu and can’t figure out what it is talking about. I try using the standard touch plate to set the zero’s. I can’t do that because I haven’t measured my tool. I read that to measure a tool, do a manual tool change. I click the manual tool change and I see the Fixed touch plate not setup.

If I continue passed the touch plate error when running the program I get an exceeded work envelope error.

What step have I missed? I suspect it is some setup with the tool height measurement tool but I can’t find any way to set it up.

The issue is likely that I used the utils menu not the utils button.

You have to setup the tool height setter first before you can surface your spoilboard:

Thanks. I figured that is what was needed but couldn’t find any way to do it. The error message said do it in utils, and I looked at the menu at the bottom, saw the utility option, and my brain locked on as close enough. I just wasn’t looking for a button. My brain was hardwired for looking for a menu option. If the error message said utils button I would have had a much easier time.
