On my new build this has happened a few times where the machine hits a limit on the Z or Y sensor and then I can’t jog until I remove the sensor wire then pull back and resquare.
It’s happened a few times with the left Y sensor or the Z upper sensor.
On the rare occasion you are “stuck” on the limits there’s a “limit over” (override) button on the main screen that can help you get out of that. You should never need to unscrew your sensors.
Walk me through the steps you take to get to this point…
I’m just setting the machine up and it’s when I’ve jogged it quickly during squaring and initial movements, and again yesterday as I was preparing to surface the spoilboard, and was setting xyz.
I didn’t see the limit over button, though. That will take care of it, should it happen again. Thanks!
If the machine is setup properly and homed you should never hit any of your limit switches. If that’s happening on the regular something is not setup right. I’d review the setup instructions and make sure you’ve done everything right. If you’re still running into problems you might want to contact support.
You can also check out this video if you haven’t already:
That should cover most of the setup and checks that you need to do
I’ll do that. I think the problem is that I’m not fully setup. It hasn’t happened at all today, so hopefully it’s resolved now that the machine is setup.
Thanks!
