New ATC rack clearance

what am I missing here it looks like tools in the rack will not clear the gantry.

Hard to tell from your photo. Is the 8020 sitting this high above the sides? The pictures make it look like the 8020 is sitting higher.

Additional pictures would be helpful here. My guess is that it’s 20-40mm too high which could indicate that you’ve got part of it mounted in the wrong channel in the 8020

Looks like it should be mounted on lower part of 8020

I went to my account and it listed 12 inch gantry, I thought it was a 12 inch .

That looks like an 8" gantry riser to me, so you’d have to be in the lower slot.

I think this is where the confusion comes in:

You can have have “8 inch” or “12 inch” gantry height, and an “8 inch” or “12 inch” Z travel. Those two can be interchanged. So what you likely have is an 8" gantry riser (common) and a 12" Z travel…

This configuration means your gantry isn’t any higher than normal, but that your Z can lift higher and out of the way

Thanks yeah I’m realizing now that I put the linear rail in the top slot and I needed to put it in the bottom thanks again

I did the same thing. I have an 8" gantry and 12" z-axis, I confused the two and installed per the 12" gantry instructions and noticed the conflict. That’s when the “ah hah” moment hit me.

Eric I am confused about this part, the routing of this sensor wire goes into this channel along with 420mm hose? Are there any vids on this?

You’ve got the right idea. Wire/hose goes in one channel, hose goes in the other.

Are the instructions available to those who haven’t ordered the ATC yet? I’m interested in ordering one this summer at the same time I want to do some other upgrades, and would be curious to look through the installation steps.

one other thing the 6x6x6 wye fitting I don’t see that. and these black slide thigs do the move to the new plate? (he ask after already installing with them)
