Open Web Isogrid

I’ve posted about making aluminum isogrid cylinders before, but I recently finished a variation with no skin and open webs. The real trick with this was that we wanted to machine the inside of the cylinder. That was accomplished using an T-slot cutter as an undercutting bit and some scripts to modify the G-code to make sure it wouldn’t crash into the part.

Thanks to those who post on this forum. I don’t machine with any coolant, and had issues with the bits clogging. A couple of sprays of WD40 worked in a pinch to eliminate the issue. Looking into adding an isopropyl alcohol mister for a longer term solution.
