Rotary questions

Hello, I have some questions about the rotary axis on my Avid cnc.

I use Vcarve Pro for cad/cam software.

I am looking to turn some table legs like the one I attached. I cannot figure out how to program it (which might be a question for the Vectric forum), but I also realized in the process that I do not know how to set the rotary to different degrees.

Is there a button somewhere or a degree input? I used the buttons to manually rotate it to say 90*,* but I can not get it precisely at 90.000*–*it will go to say 90.002*, and then if i turn the increments down and adjust more, it will bounce back and forth but never quite achieve the true degree. What am I doing wrong?

Any thoughts or experience with such a situation would be appreciated!

thank you

I’ve done stuff like that in fusion, and yeah, the rotary is a good choice. I don’t know Vectric or cnc12 but to rotate your part precisely you want to find the MDI interface in your control software and run a command like “G0 A90”. The rotary axis is just like all the other axes when it comes to moving them, aside from feedrate issues, so you can use G0 to go to a specific location instead of jogging.

Okay I will look into that and see if I can get anywhere. Thank you for the response!

I use deskproto 8 to do stuff like that.
