Hello friends. I created a box on my Avid 4848 pro, using the vectric box creating gadget. I changed the tolerance to 0.1, and changed to cutting outside the line. I did this after watching a few couture videos. It is not snug at all as you can see in the pics. Does it mater that I cut outside the line? Should I set the tolerance back to zero? Thanks in advance.
I don’t use the box thing in Vcarve, but I found a tolerance of about 0.005" to 0.008" is good for a nice tight fit. You do still want to cut outside the line, and on one of the two you add the tolerance. I talk about it here in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID2WLf2jn6A
Let me know if that helps!

I was planning to use the box gadget to make a custom traveling case for a trip. I noticed when I created the file that the cut is on the line. I did just watch a video that said some people have issues because the box gadget is based on imperial measurements.
Sorry to clarify do everything in imperial or metric.
Corbin! I ran it with a clearance of .005, it was a perfect fit.
