After moving across the country and reassembling my machine I can’t get my Auto Z and Corner Finding Touch Plate to be inactive. This is a Mach 4 control system. When the cable is disconnected from the control box it shows that it is inactive so it must be in the cable itself. The cable was neatly coiled and packed in a box when moved so I am at a loss. Any suggestions for tracking this down?
It turns out that the magnet wire insulation is worn and contacting the metal connector to the touch plate.
