Windows 11 issues?

My IT guy went through the computers I have (I am a HS CTE teacher) and updated them to Windows 11. In the process, I needed to reload Mach4 and run the configuration utility.

My problem is that the configuration utility will not recognize that the Performance Options have been changed to match the 32 GB of virtual memory that is set.

Has anyone experienced this or know what I should looking for/doing?

The setup was working under Windows 10. My IT guy won’t change the OS back to Win 10 unless I can provide a strong case to do so.

I put in a service request and called Avid days ago, but I have not been contacted in return.

It’s a small project I need to do; I don’t know what state of anger I would be in if I needed this machine for production.

I appreciate any help I can get.

Is Mach currently not loading at all, is that the issue or is it something else?

Mach 4 is loaded, but it does not recognize the Avid Pro is connected to the laptop.

Ok, this just sounds like a configuration issue for the ethernet adapter. It probably got reset on the update to Windows 11

Run the SCU and use this section to configure the ethernet adapter. That should get you sorted out.

Another HS CTE teacher here. Were you able to make any progress?

IT messed with PC. Windows 11. New Mach4 license. My machine can talk to the CNC but crashes upon loading a section of Gcode. Done “all” the updates. Its a lot of machine to not be able to work (Pro 5X10)

Understand your frustration.

This sounds like something you should contact support for. They will be better equipped to help you out. You can contact them using the links at the top of this page.
